Earth's Treasure Chest

Created as a fundraiser for CPAWS, Canadian Parks and Wilderness Association, 160 artists and guest celebrity artists painted an endangered or extinct animal panel designed for a large scale mural designed by Mural Mosiac. Panel #76 by Cheryl Taylor concerns the threat of kiwi birds in New Zealand.

Created as a centennial project in collaboration with Mural Mosiac and over 100 artists. Panel #12 by Cheryl Taylor commemorates the funding of the Bella Concert Hall by the Taylor family of Calgary.

Sustainable Art Event Nov 2011: Art for Food: Food for Art


 A 16 x 20 room is transformed into a three dimensional portrayal of Okotoks 100 years ago completely out of recycled materials by The Blue Studio students at the Foothills Centennial Centre in Okotoks. The "food mountains" in the back donated by generous Okotokians throughout this 6 hour event filled two vans to the brim for the Okotoks Food Bank.

"Biophilia", designed and created by Cheryl Taylor to raise money for JDRF for Type 1 Diabetes, has a living garden wall and a Beta fish aquarium incorporated into it. All material apart from glue are naturally derived or are from recycled materials.
